Demonstrating remarkable precocity, Drake began her performing career at the tender age of three, appearing in comedy films alongside legendary silent film stars Fatty Arbuckle and Ben Turpin. By age five, she had formed the La Marr Sisters act with her older sister Ella, eight years her senior, captivating vaudeville audiences across the nation with their distinctive blend of songs, dances, and witty banter. During her formative years, Drake developed exceptional equestrian and marksmanship skills under the tutelage of her neighbor, the iconic Western star Tom Mix, who personally taught her to shoot and ride.
