Christopher Lee Pettiet was an American television and film actor whose promising career in the 1990s left a lasting impression on audiences before his untimely death at the age of 24. Born on February 12, 1976, in Plano, Texas, Pettiet began his journey in the entertainment industry as a child actor, quickly establishing himself with a natural charisma and talent that belied his young age. He became widely recognized for his portrayal of Jesse James in the Western television series The Young Riders, a role that showcased his ability to bring depth to historical figures. Additionally, he gained significant popularity for playing Zach Crandell, the middle brother in the cult comedy film Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead (1991), which became a beloved staple of early '90s cinema.
