Chris Witaske: Movies & Box Office

Chris Witaske is an esteemed American actor who came to popularity for his portrayals of Chris Czajkowski in Netflix's romantic comedy Love, and Pete in the FX on Hulu comedy series The Bear which won an Emmy award. He was born on June 12, 1983, in St. Charles, Illinois. As a teenager, he got involved with acting, taking classes at Second City in Chicago. For some time he performed as a birthday party magician, before he decided to focus all his energy on comedy and acting. After graduation from St. Charles High School, he proceeded to study Theater Arts at the University of Iowa. He polished his comedy skills at prominent venues in Chicago, such as the Second City, iO, and Annoyance Theaters. In pursuit of more opportunities, Witaske then moved to Los Angeles where he launched his professional acting career. His television acting debut happened in 2014 on the Fox comedy-drama series New Girl after which he secured roles in a myriad of TV shows and films like The Comeback, Teachers, Drunk History, Lady Bird, Unicorn Store, What Men Want, Arrested Development, Weird City, The Wrong Missy, and The Bear. In 2016, he landed a role in Netflix's romantic comedy Love as Chris Czajkowski and earned a regular spot a year later. Witaske is also credited as the creator of the adult animated series Chicago Party Aunt, a project greenlit by Netflix which began airing in September 2021. The show was made in collaboration with Jon Barinholtz and Katie Rich, and was inspired by a Twitter account of the same name, created by Witaske himself.
