Christopher Pang, widely recognized as Chris Pang, is an acclaimed Australian actor and producer. Born on 29th December 1984 in Melbourne, Chris is best known for his noteworthy roles as Colin Khoo in Crazy Rich Asians (2018) and Lee Takkam in Tomorrow, When the War Began (2010). Chris came from a lineage of talents, with his parents being accomplished Wing Chun instructors. With his father, Barry Pang, born and raised in Australia, and his mother, Anne Pang, who migrated from Taiwan during the 1970s, Chris grew up in a vibrant multicultural household. He was educated at Scotch College, and later enrolled in a university where he initially pursued multimedia studies. Unfulfilled by his studies, he temporarily sold phones to businesses before venturing into his acting career which turned out to be a fruitful decision.

Pang’s acting career took off unexpectedly when a casting agency looking for someone to dub a Chinese accent chose him. This opportunity led him to provide the voice-over for Jackie Chan's brother in New Police Story 4, thereby marking the beginning of his acting career. Shortly after, he further honed his acting skills by studying at TAFTA in Melbourne. His big break came in 2010 when he was given one of the lead roles in the Australian film adaptation of the young adult dystopian novel Tomorrow, When the War Began. Despite his success, Chris felt the need to expand his horizons and thus, moved to Hollywood in 2013. His journey in Hollywood included appearances in significant films and series like I, Frankenstein, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny, and Marco Polo. Not limiting himself to acting, Chris also ventured into production and starred in Empty by Design, his first feature film as a producer.
