Carrie Alexandra Coon is an eminent American actress recognized for her multi-faceted performances on television, stage, and films. She started her career in 2006 with regional theatre and was immediately recruited by the Madison Repertory Theatre for a production of Our Town. Her breakthrough came in 2010 with the Steppenwolf Theatre Company production of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? that earned her a Tony Award nomination and a Theatre World Award. She made her on-screen debut in the NBC series The Playboy Club in 2011 and later guest-starred on several shows. Carrie received acclamation for her performance in the HBO drama series The Leftovers (2014–2017) and the FX anthology series Fargo (2017), with her performance leading to a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Fargo.
