Bradley Mitchell Silberling has been a staple figure in the American television and film industry, born on September 8, 1963. Garnering fame for directing renowned feature films such as Casper (1995), City of Angels (1998), Moonlight Mile (2002), Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004), and Land of the Lost (2009). Born in Washington D.C., he is the son of Joyce Anne (Tucker), a travel consultant, and Robert Murray Silberling, who was Vice President of CBS Entertainment Productions. His industry career started early, becoming a Production Assistant for a children's program in 1986. The 2002 film, Moonlight Mile is a poignant part of his portfolio, loosely based on his bereavement following the murder of his girlfriend, actress Rebecca Schaeffer, in 1989.

He has made several ground-breaking moves during his career, where his movie, 10 Items or Less became the first movie legally available for download during its theatrical run in 2006. He even began his own production company, Reveal Entertainment, in 1999. He was approached by Warner Bros. to direct Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 1998, though the opportunity ultimately went to Chris Columbus. Currently signed with ICM Partners, his production company secured a deal with CBS Television Studios in 2014. On the personal front, Bradley Mitchell Silberling was romantically involved with Rebecca Schaeffer, whom he met at UCLA film school, until her untimely death in 1989. In 1995, he wed actress Amy Brenneman, with whom he has two children.
