Born as Antwan André Patton on February 1, 1975, Big Boi is a prominent American rapper, record producer, and actor. He hailed from Savannah, Georgia, but grew up in Atlanta and gained fame as one half of the influential Southern hip hop duo Outkast, which he formed with rapper André 3000 in 1992. Throughout their collaboration, Outkast released six critically acclaimed studio albums, each garnering commercial success with hit songs like 'Ms. Jackson', 'Roses', 'So Fresh, So Clean', and 'Elevators (Me & You)'. Big Boi further made his mark with his solo single 'The Way You Move', which topped the Billboard Hot 100 and was recognized as the 22nd most successful song of the 2000s decade by Billboard. After Outkast split in 2007, he ventured into a solo career, signing with Def Jam Recordings and releasing his debut studio album 'Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty' in 2010, which continued his path of success and was met with positive reviews.
