Ariel Schulman: Movies & Box Office

Marek Ariel Schulman, more commonly known as Ariel Schulman, is a well-established American filmmaker and actor. He received recognition for his significant roles in shaping contemporary cinema, especially by starring in, producing, and directing the 2010 documentary Catfish. His collaborative body of work with Henry Joost, featuring the co-direction of films like Paranormal Activity 3 (2011), Paranormal Activity 4 (2012), Nerve (2016) and Project Power (2020) marked a milestone in their careers. Ariel graduated in 2004 from the distinguished Tisch School of the Arts' film program. Alongside Joost, he co-founded a vibrant production company, Supermarché.

His career showcased another vibrant facet when he and Joost were commissioned to write and direct an adaptation of Mega Man for 20th Century Fox in 2017. Despite brief misunderstandings about the film being cancelled after Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox's assets, Capcom confirmed that the project was still underway. In 2020, it was revealed that Mattson Tomlin had joined the team to co-write the screenplay. In 2018, he extended his innovative filmography with the co-direction of the Netflix sci-fi superhero thriller film Project Power, on a screenplay by Mattson Tomlin. His most notable work in 2020 involved towering film giants Jamie Foxx, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Dominique Fishback.
