Ania Marson: Movies & Box Office

Ania Marson, born Anna Bujniewicz on May 22, 1949, is a celebrated Anglo-Polish actress known for her diverse roles in both film and television. Born in Gdynia, Pomorskie Voivodeship, Poland, Marson ventured into the acting world from a young age and gained recognition for playing both the Grand Duchess Olga Nikolaevna of Russia in Nicholas and Alexandra (1971), and the demon Voleth Meir, 'the Deathless Mother' in The Witcher (2021). She started her acting education at the Corona Stage Academy and marked her television debut in 1963 in the series Dixon of Dock Green. This was followed by appearances in other series such as The Troubleshooters in 1968 and Detective in 1969. In the 70s, Marson garnered recognition for her roles in Puppet on a Chain, and Nicholas and Alexandra. Other notable works include Emma in 1972, The Abdication (1974), Blake's 7 (1978) and Bad Timing in 1980. After two decades of hiatus from film and television, Marson staged a splendid comeback in 2011 as Diana in Home Death, directed by Fiona Morrell. In 2015, she portrayed Olga Kowalski in an episode of Foyle's War. Her most recent work in 2021 as the demon Voleth Meir in The Witcher received considerable acclaim.
