Andrew Neel is an esteemed American filmmaker, celebrated for orchestrating the creation of films such as Darkon, New World Order, and King Kelly. Born in Vermont in 1978, Neel carries a rich artistic legacy as the grandson of visual artist Alice Neel and brother of artist Elizabeth Neel. He had his formative years at Northfield Mount Hermon high school in Massachusetts where his passion for details began to take shape. In 2001, Neel, alongside Ethan Palmer, Luke Meyer, and Tom Davis laid the foundations of SeeThink Films after graduating with a BA in Film Studies from the prestigious Columbia College. His career graph ascended with six feature-length films that he ingeniously directed, reflecting his versatile filmmaking skills and steadfast commitment. Starting with Darkon, his filmmaking journey bloomed with Alice Neel, The Feature, New World Order, King Kelly, and Goat. His first film Darkon was recognized extensively and won the Audience Award at the South by Southwest Film Festival. Paramount showed interest in the film for a narrative fiction remake through Plan B Entertainment. His second film broadened his horizon with it being acquired by Art House Films and aired on the Sundance Channel, and winning the Audience Award at the Newport Beach Film Festival. Neel's skillful command over the art of film making is truly reflected in how he seamlessly handled multiple projects, including his directorial venture New World Order in 2009 and his first feature narrative film, King Kelly, in 2012.
