Andrew Howard (born 12 June 1969 in Cardiff, Wales) is a Welsh actor whose career spans theatre, television and film, marked by both critical acclaim and genre versatility. Trained at the Cygnet Training Theatre in Exeter during the late 1980s, he quickly moved from stage classics such as A Christmas Carol, Twelfth Night, Beggar's Opera and Peer Gynt to prominent roles at the Royal National Theatre and the Donmar Warehouse, where his portrayals of Alex DeLarge in A Clockwork Orange and Orestes in Electra drew early notice. In the early 2000s Howard broke through to international audiences with a series of high‑profile screen appearances: the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers, Guy Ritchie’s caper Revolver, and the television film The Lion in Winter alongside Patrick Stewart and Glenn Close. His performance as Jon in Mr In‑Between earned him the Best Actor award at the 2001 Tokyo International Film Festival, while his dual role as actor‑screenwriter on the crime drama Shooters (2002) showcased his behind‑the‑scenes talent.
