Ana Bertha Lepe Jiménez was born on September 12, 1934, in Tecolotlán, Jalisco, Mexico, and emerged as one of the most prominent figures in Mexican cinema during the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema, a period that defined the cultural identity of Mexico through its vibrant film industry. Before establishing herself as an accomplished actress, Lepe gained national recognition when she was crowned Miss México 1953, subsequently making history as the first Mexican contestant to place in the top five at the Miss Universe 1953 pageant, where she finished as the third runner-up, bringing international attention to Mexican beauty and talent. Her striking beauty and charismatic presence translated seamlessly into her acting career, which began with her film debut in La justicia del lobo (1952), marking the commencement of a prolific journey in the entertainment industry that would span several decades and encompass dozens of film and television productions.
