Alejandro Edda: Movies & Box Office

Alejandro Edda, born in Puebla, Mexico in 1984, is a Mexican–American actor known for his versatile roles in television series, films and video games. His acting journey started in AMC's series Fear the Walking Dead, where he portrayed the character Marco Rodriguez. He gained significant popularity for his performance as Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán in Netflix original series Narcos: Mexico. Besides, he showcased his talent in FX's series Snowfall and gave voice to characters in video games like Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Ghost Recon: Wildlands, and The Last of Us Part II. Alejandro also made appearances in Hollywood films like romantic comedy Sundown and Reality High, among others. He even marked his first box office success in American Made. Edda's Early Life & Career: After studying arts at the Russian Conservatory of Mexico City, Edda went on to pursue his acting career by joining his mother in San Francisco. He later moved to Los Angeles, studying at the Meisner Acting Studio before kickstarting his acting career. Before becoming an actor, Edda worked as a wine delivery person and valet parker. His first appearance was in commercials for Domino's Pizza, and then he scored roles in series like The Bridge, Fear the Walking Dead and Lethal Weapon. In the gaming world, he achieved recognition for his voice and motion capture performances. Alejandro's creative freedom while doing these roles is evidenced by small changes he brought into his characters, adding to their authenticity. His recent acting projects include action horror film The Forever Purge and his role in PlayStation 4 video game The Last of Us Part II. On July 17, 2009, Edda tied the knot with Aura Serna, together they have two sons. Later, he attained his US citizenship.
