Akio Otsuka, born on November 24, 1959 in Tokyo, Japan, is a highly respected Japanese actor, voice actor and narrator whose deep, resonant timbre has become a hallmark of modern Japanese dubbing. Growing up as the son of the legendary voice actor Chikao Ōtsuka, he entered the industry in 1988 and quickly distinguished himself with a astringent yet calming vocal quality that suited a wide variety of characters, from stoic heroes to charismatic villains.
