Adrienne La Russa (born May 15, 1948) is an American retired actress best known for her portrayal of Brooke Hamilton on the iconic soap opera Days of Our Lives, a role she played from 1975 to 1977. Born in New York City, New York, La Russa spent part of her childhood on Long Island, where a young Henry Winkler was one of her childhood friends, long before he became famous as the Fonz on Happy Days. She graduated from Cold Spring Harbor High School in Cold Spring Harbor, New York, in 1965. La Russa launched her acting career in 1968, debuting in the comedy film The Black Sheep, which starred Alan Arkin and Jackie Cooper. Her early film work also included the Italian historical drama Beatrice Cenci (1969), filmed partly in Rome, where she notably spent time on the terrace of her hotel getting a tan while filming Save Your Face. She continued building her resume throughout the 1970s with roles in films such as Keep It in the Family (1973), the cult science fiction classic The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976) starring David Bowie, and Uncle Joe Shannon (1978). On television, La Russa had a memorable supporting role in the 1978 epic miniseries Centennial, where she played Clemma Zendt, the tempestuous daughter of series protagonists Levi and Lucinda Zendt. She also made guest spots on various television programs throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s. In her personal life, La Russa's 1984 marriage to martial artist and actor Steven Seagal was annulled later that same year. She subsequently married Robert French on December 31, 1987. After a career spanning more than two decades in both film and television, La Russa retired from acting in 1991.
