Lisa becomes inspired to write her own book after discovering that the Korean drama she loves is connected to a work titled To Room 19, and she eventually sees her own book published. At a book signing for her new release, she is approached by Kim Gun Hoo, Yoo Min-gon, who introduces himself as a devoted fan.
Before heading back to South Korea, [Kim Gun Hoo] invites Lisa to join him for a tour of the filming sites from her favorite Korean drama. Lisa agrees, and the two embark on the excursion together. During the tour, Lisa falls ill with a fever, and Kim reveals that they have known each other for six years and that they have been dating.
The story then shifts to Lisa’s memories. She recalls a childhood spent in Korea, where her overseas Filipino worker mother, Mary, brought her to the country and where she first met Kim. As she grows older, Lisa returns to Manila. While she is immersed in her work, a call from her father, Pio, informs her of Mary’s suicide, an event that triggers severe trauma and leads Lisa to forget much of her past experiences in Korea, a wound she carries as post-traumatic stress.
In the present, the couple eventually parts ways, despite Kim’s persistent efforts to convince Lisa to stay. A year passes, and Lisa reaches out to Kim, asking him to watch an interview of hers. It is revealed that Kim was a pivotal source of inspiration for Lisa’s second book, How I Remember You, and that he uses this connection to locate her. The story culminates in a reunion, with Kim presenting her a copy of To Room 19 and the pair making a promise to remain by each other’s side.
