What Is Ai no Kusabi About?
The premise of Ai no Kusabi without spoilers.
Set in a futuristic society where men's social rank is determined by hair color, the story follows Iason Mink, a privileged blond aristocrat, who claims Riki—a black‑haired outsider known as a “Mongrel”—as his personal “Pet.” As Riki witnesses the dangers Iason faces to keep him safe, his loyalty deepens into romantic feelings. The film is a modern remake of the 1992 OVA of the same name.
