Ferrari, Nicholas Tse Ting-Fung, is a young swindler who earns his living by pulling off a variety of schemes to take people’s money. As he weaves through one con after another, a cop nicknamed “Stupid” — Karl Maka — closes in and offers him a deal: help bring down Master Swindler Wong, the world’s most notorious con artist who is said to be penning an autobiography of his life of fraud. This uneasy pact kicks off a high-stakes pursuit that promises both laughs and danger, drawing Ferrari into a tangled game of wit and risk.

On his path, Ferrari crosses paths with Bastardly Sze, Alec Su, a man who stalks a wealthy woman and takes her photographs as a hobby that hints at a darker streak. Pauline Wu, Joey Yung Jo-Yee, whose father is one of the victims of the Master Castrator Swindler, decides to reclaim her family’s money and joins the fray. The trio soon believes they’ve tracked Wong’s daughter to Wu Sen-kwan, played by Ruby Lin, a young woman whose aura of mystery draws them in. Wu Sen-kwan is flanked by her self-styled assistant, Ching, Annie Wu, whose own history with Ferrari runs deep: they once dated, she asked him to wait for her, and she never showed up, later revealing that she had swindled him.

Driven by opportunity, the group—Ferrari, Bastardly Sze, and Pauline Wu—tail Wu Sen-kwan to a boat, convinced she is the daughter they’ve been chasing. Ferrari adopts the guise of a priest, pressing Wu Sen-kwan for a charitable donation of $1 million, a move meant to secure the trio’s payoff and uncover the truth behind Wong’s enigmatic autobiography. Amid the scheme, Bastardly Sze finds himself genuinely drawn to Wu Sen-kwan, adding a complicated emotional layer to the con. Pauline Wu, watching this budding connection, grows jealous, sensing that Sze’s feelings might threaten the plan.

As the scheme unfolds, the characters’ desires clash with their schemes in a way that keeps the tension simmering. Sze’s burgeoning guilt about deceiving Wu Sen-kwan threads through the flirtations and the faux philanthropy, while Ferrari wrestles with the limits of manipulation when romance intrudes on his calculated moves. The pursuit becomes less about a single payoff and more about navigating loyalties, mistrust, and the uneasy line between clever deception and real emotion.
