The film opens with the District Attorney Adolfo Yanelli listening to voices captured in a recording from the black box of a fatal air disaster. The docudrama then traces the real-life arc of director Enrique Piñeyro, who appears as himself as T, a principled pilot at LAPA who objects to the airline’s cost‑cutting that jeopardizes basic safety standards.
As T voices his concerns, he is branded a troublemaker by the company and faced with growing pressure from his fellow pilots. When conditions deteriorate, he walks out of the cockpit after multiple navigational instruments fail and the airline simply replaces him with another pilot. Frustration mounts as he warns in a blistering letter to his superiors that a crash is inevitable if nothing changes.
The letter leaks to the media, and the airline is quickly sold, but the new owners push him to retract his statements. Complicating matters, their public relations head is Marcela, Mercedes Morán, an old love from his youth who is now married. The personal saga is interwoven with the investigation into LAPA Flight 3142, and T begins to receive death threats as the District Attorney follows the trail.
Yanelli’s investigation culminates in bringing the airline’s chief executives and the Argentine Air Force authorities before a criminal court, marking a landmark moment in commercial aviation history. Alongside T’s story, the film also introduces the airline’s inner circle: Gordo, Carlos Portaluppi; Gonzalo, Alejandro Awada; Copiloto cansado, Pablo Ramos; Pequeño T (Little T), Martín Slipak; and Coach, Paulo Brunetti. Their perspectives—crew, management, and everything in between—weave a comprehensive portrait of a flight crew and corporate world collide under the shadow of a disaster.
The film uses a documentary‑style approach to unfold a tense, ethical conflict: a whistleblower’s battle against a system driven by profit, a romance under pressure, and a courtroom confrontation that seeks accountability where safety is at stake. Ultimately, it presents a sober, multi‑faceted look at how a single voice can threaten powerful interests and reshape the bounds of aviation law.
