What Is We About?
The premise of We without spoilers, adapted from We by Yevgeny Zamyatin and Clarence Brown.
In the 26th‑century utopia, individuality has vanished. Citizens live in glass houses monitored by Keepers, wear a uniform cipher‑so or UNIFEM, and eat synthetic food. Hourly they march in fours, chanting the anthem, with only a brief “sexy time” break. The Benefactor, elected each year, leads a regime that says happiness and freedom cannot coexist.
