In Manila, three childhood friends—Eric, [Bobby Andrews], Gemma, [Angelu de Leon], and Ponsie, [Mel Martinez]—are thrilled to learn they will be classmates again. Eric is a weak, fickle-minded playboy; Gemma is the pretty tomboy who keeps an eye out for girls for her friend Eric; Ponsie is their openly gay confidant. The trio’s easy rhythm holds steady until Gemma’s cousin Vivian arrives, determined to win Eric as a boyfriend, and Gemma vows to help make it happen.

Vivian heads away for a three-week stay in the United States for an art exhibit and competition, and that absence becomes a turning point. During the separation, Gemma and Eric confront the long-hidden feelings that have simmered beneath their friendship, finding it harder to pretend nothing has changed. When Vivian returns home, she walks into a moment charged with unspoken tension, only for her to catch Gemma and Eric sharing a warm, affectionate moment.
