Commissioner Manju Warrier Sreebala and Assistant Commissioner Indrajith Sukumaran Xylex Abraham are drawn into a tense disappearance case when actress Sanusha Santhosh Uma Sathyamoorthi vanishes, pulling the police into a web of secrets that tests trust, loyalty, and the line between justice and revenge. The investigation quickly tightens around a dramatic turn: the arrest of Melvin Kunchacko Boban, a former classmate of Uma. During questioning, Melvin confesses to murdering his wife Sandhya Sherin and staging it as a drug-induced suicide to settle a personal score over her alleged infidelity, while also laying out a plan to kidnap Uma’s boyfriend and kill them both. He refuses to reveal where he dumped the bodies, complicating the pursuit of the truth.

As progress stalls, Sreebala and Xylex find their own minds being played with—Melvin has sown seeds of doubt about both of them. Sreebala discovers troubling signs tied to her father’s accident, hinting at foul play, and she grows increasingly wary of Xylex. Meanwhile, Xylex becomes obsessed with suspected betrayals at home; after following his wife and seeing her frequently with the same man, he acts decisively, killing the man and making the death look accidental, a grim echo of Melvin’s earlier crime.

Melvin eventually agrees to reveal the location of his victims’ bodies, but only if Sreebala and Xylex accompany him. When they reach the spot, Uma and her boyfriend are found to be alive, and the investigation team concludes that Melvin has deteriorated into paranoia and is committed to psychiatric care. The case takes another turn as Xylex learns that the man he killed – Deepak Parambol Rony – and his wife had been helping Xylex’s wife arrange an adoption, tying a hidden layer of deception and complicity to the whole saga. This revelation reaches Sreebala when she receives a videotape of the accident, bringing the deeper machinations into the open.

The full truth emerges: Sherin had not been involved in an affair, and her death was not a suicide. Melvin’s account unfolds a history of grief and misguided justice. He reveals that his own daughter, Angel Akshara Kishor, had died after being locked in a cage by a school headmistress who failed to notice the danger when the school day ended. The school’s owner, revealed to be the now-deceased Rony, used his influence to shield the cover-up and to murder Sherin. The investigation officer who had begun to uncover the truth had been Sreebala’s father, whose pursuit of facts led to a near-fatal accident. Melvin’s elaborate scheme—kidnapping, manipulation, and coercion—had the unintended consequence of dragging others into a web of betrayals they did not fully understand.

In a final twist, as they drive through the forest, Sreebala accidentally runs over the headmistress—the person responsible for Melvin’s daughter’s death—casting a harsh light on whether Melvin’s “justice” was ever truly just. Melvin’s confession reframes the entire case: he had, in his mind, avenged his family, yet the truth suggests a more tragic tapestry of pain and cover-ups that extended far beyond any single crime.
