Balwant Roy, a prominent industrialist, is a man of influence and wealth, deeply dedicated to his family and business empire. His sole heir, his son Munna, affectionately called by his nickname, deeply loves his sister Uma Neena Gupta. Uma is married to Raghuveer [Shakti Kapoor], the elder son of Sundarlal, who is portrayed as a scheming and greedy managing director of the Roy Group of Industries.

The story reveals that Sunderlal’s true intentions are far from noble; he harbors a desire to steal Balwant Roy’s property and even eliminate Munna. This evil plan leads him to conspire against Munna, aiming to assassinate him. Fortunately, a brave village boy named Mangal [Sunny Deol] steps in to save Munna’s life during one of Sunderlal’s schemes. Their bond quickly develops, and they begin living together, bringing a sense of happiness to Mangal’s mother [Seema Deo], who finds solace in her son’s newfound companionship.

However, the peace does not last long. Recognizing the threats posed by Sunderlal’s malicious plots, Balwant Roy decides to send Munna abroad with his loyal employee, Laxman Chacha [Ram Mohan], to ensure his safety. In the meantime, Sunderlal and Raghuveer’s greed intensifies, pushing them to imprison Uma in a cell, likely to manipulate or control her and their other dark plans.

After many years, Munna returns to take charge of the family business, now a young man ready to confront the challenges ahead. Sunderlal, driven by desperation, continues his villainous schemes along with Raghuveer’s support, eager to eliminate Balwant Roy once and for all. Attempting to weaken Munna, they inform him falsely that his sister Uma is seriously ill and has traveled to U.S.A for treatment, hoping to distract or weaken him.

In the midst of these conflicts, Munna calls upon his childhood friend, Mangal, appointing him as the new managing director of the business. As their bond strengthens, Mangal also encounters Shalu [Jaya Prada], the daughter of another distinguished industrialist Jay Prakash [Satyen Kappu]. Interestingly, in their childhood, Shalu and Munna’s marriage was once proposed, but she falls genuinely in love with Mangal. Mangal, in turn, reciprocates her feelings, which adds a layer of romantic complexity to the story.

Despite their personal happiness, danger looms. Sunderlal and Raghuveer hatch numerous dangerous schemes to eliminate both Mangal and Munna. Their most treacherous attempt involves using Lili [Aruna Irani], Munna’s secretary, to orchestrate a false case accusing Mangal of rape and murder. This false accusation causes a serious misunderstanding between Mangal and Shalu, even leading her to agree to marry Sunderlal’s younger son, Ranveer [Tej Sapru].

Nevertheless, ultimate justice prevails. With perseverance and detective work, Mangal and Munna manage to uncover the truth and identify the real culprits behind the conspiracies. Their victory highlights themes of honesty, loyalty, and resilience against greed and treachery, demonstrating how true friendship and family loyalty can overcome even the most sinister plans.
