Muttatti Satyaraju is a crafty, small-time conman based in Bangalore who thrives on daring schemes and fast moves. In the midst of the city’s hustle, he crosses paths with Neeraja Goswamy, a visitor from Madhya Pradesh who has come to Karnataka for a wedding, and the two instantly fall for each other. As their romance grows, the conman vows to quit theft for good, hoping to start a straight life with the woman he loves. Yet, before he can retire his trade, he plans one final caper with his loyal aide, Hosdoddi, aiming for a sum so large that it could secure their future.
The plan goes awry in a cascade of twists. He pulls off a trick at a bus stand, swiping a trunk that holds more money than expected, and this unfortunate haul leads him to Neha, a girl who believes Sathyaraju is her father rather than the wealth tucked away with her. The mystery surrounding Neha’s true parentage forces Sathyaraju to keep her close, especially as Inspector Shinde keeps a watchful eye on him. Meanwhile, Neeraja’s growing suspicions push her toward the truth, straining their relationship as she confronts Sathyaraju about the reality he keeps hidden.
The plot thickens when Sathyaraju is confronted by an unseen danger and is abruptly thrust into the role of Veera Madakari IPS, a police chief who happens to be Neha’s biological father. The man who looks exactly like Sathyaraju—the formidable Madakari—emerges, and the two identities collide. As the two men navigate a shared fate, Sathyaraju finds himself running, protecting Neha while dodging a web of threats. Madakari’s arrival changes the game, and in a brutal clash, he defeats a slew of attackers, sacrificing himself in the process, dying from the injuries he sustains in the skirmish.
The aftermath unravels a deeper backstory. The people who helped Sathyaraju piece things together relay a history of corruption in Chambal village, Devgarh, Madhya Pradesh. There, a corrupt MLA, Babjee, and his criminal network hold power through money and violence, shackling the town with fear and exploitation. Babjee’s son Munna abuses and terrorizes the vulnerable, even assaulting policemen’s families. At a party hosted by Babjee, a cop is humiliated, triggering Madakari’s decisive intervention as he eliminates the corrupt establishment figure in a sudden, dramatic moment. Later, during Holi, Madakari is ambushed by Titla, sustaining a back wound and a gunshot to the head while trying to shield a village boy. He survives with brain damage, the severity muted when water splashes over him, and the conspirators reluctantly believe him dead.
With the past revealed to him, Sathyaraju chooses to adopt Neha, who remains unaware that her real father is gone. He returns to Devgarh, slipping back into the guise of Veera Madakari to confront Babjee and the corrupt regime head-on. Neeraja uncovers the truth through Hosdoddi and travels to confront Sathyaraju, only to find him emotionally torn and torn between two identities. He resists at first, but a moment of vulnerability leads to temptation when Neeraja presents herself with intent, and Sathyaraju cannot help but fall for her again. In a renewed struggle for justice and love, Sathyaraju, under Madakari’s guise, outsmarts Babjee and his lieutenants, torching the MLA’s wine factory and sparking a village-wide uprising that the locals promptly seize for themselves. In a climactic duel on a rope bridge, Sathyaraju defeats Titla by tying and cutting the rope, sending Titla to his death. In the end, Sathyaraju and Neeraja wed and begin a new life alongside Neha and Hosdoddi, united by love, loyalty, and a hard-won sense of justice.
