Varadanayaka 2013

In Bangalore, ACP Varadanayaka Sudeep leads a contented life with his parents, wife Lakshmi Sameera Reddy and his younger brother Hari Chiranjeevi Sarja, who is a college student, along with their daughter Pinky. A girl named Sirisha Nikeesha Patel crosses paths with Varadanayaka during a field trip and quickly befriends Pinky. Hari, who studies in Sirisha’s college, and Sirisha soon discover they know each other.

Varadanayaka begins to investigate the case of the dreaded criminal, Section Shankar P. Ravi Shankar, who runs illegal land deals that allegedly involve ties to the DIG. When the bank chairman who financed the deal demands repayment after the venture collapses, Shankar eliminates him. The bank’s customers rise up in protest, trying to damage the bank.

Varadanayaka arrives to arrest the manager. Shankar learns where the manager has been taken and arrives with his men and the DIG, nearly killing ACP Varadanayaka. Shankar orders his men to dump Varadanayaka’s body. On the way, Hari intervenes and rescues his brother from a burning bus, and Varadanayaka dies in Hari’s arms.

The media and the public are led to believe that Varadanayaka swindled the money, a narrative shaped by the DIG. Hari seeks vengeance on those who killed Varadanayaka; he eliminates Siddharth (Siddu) — his friend and Shankar’s brother — and later takes down the DIG. Shankar kidnaps Hari’s entire family; Hari arrives, defeats Shankar, and reveals that Varadanayaka is dead. With the support of the new DIG, Hari rescues his family and carries forward his brother’s memory.
