Neenu is a man defined by happiness and a deep, almost spiritual detachment from what lies ahead or behind. He sustains himself through a string of small, often menial jobs around his locality and the film production crew he helps, never accepting payment for his services. His cheerful, uncomplaining nature draws people to him, including a psychology student, Lakshmi, who becomes fascinated after her professor mentions Naanu, the man he once was. Her quiet pursuit gradually reveals something extraordinary in him, a selflessness that shines without fanfare, though Neenu remains firmly rooted in his own peculiar code of living and helping others. Her growing affection meets his tranquil resistance, creating a slow-burning tension between desire and devotion.

In parallel, a Dubai-based crime lord named Saleem is chasing a ₹100 crore property belonging to Mandakini, a wealthy widow who has become a follower of Neenu after a past, transformative moment. Saleem is aided by his trusted aide and their cadre of henchmen, all hoping to seize the fortune through fear and force. The web widens as the tale intersects with Sheela, who seeks spiritual guidance after a heartbreak and becomes enmeshed in the darker exploits of an aghori who preys on vulnerability. The stakes grow as the pursuit threads together crime, devotion, and desperate ambition, casting a shadow over Neenu’s simple, generous life and the people around him.

As the chase intensifies, Neenu is pursued by a police officer named Shinde who is determined to capture him and settle the property dispute. Some CID officers, misreading the situation, interpret Neenu as an undercover agent attempting to trap Saleem, blurring the lines between law and crime. Neenu uses his wits to subdue the chase, swaying the cops against the goons and staying steadfast with Lakshmi as the mystery deepens. The narrative keeps its focus on the man’s integrity while the tension of pursuit adds grit to the calm at the story’s core.

The film culminates in a provocative reveal: Mandakini is a fictional character imagined by the cops, and Neenu is just a normal man. The will left by Mandakini offers a philosophical lens on identity and virtue: when one stops saying “Naanu” (I), a symbol of fear, anger, jealousy, and selfishness; and instead embraces “You” (Neenu), symbolizing gratitude, kindness, and selflessness; and when one ceases dwelling on the past or future, true happiness—khushi, the daughter of Mandakini representing Calmness in the Heart—stays with him forever. This ending folds metaphysical reflection into the fabric of a crime-and-character drama, leaving the audience with a resonant, reflective mood rather than a straightforward thriller.
