Spoilers ahead
In the magical realm of Coventry, the royal witch Miranda gives birth to identical twin daughters on Halloween night. The sisters, named Apolla and Artemis, inherit powerful destinies tied to the sun and the moon. To shield them from a malevolent force known as the Darkness, their father, Aron DuBaer, transfers the entirety of his magical power and is killed in the act. In the wake of this tragedy, guardianship falls to the devoted magical couple Karsh and Illeana WarBurton, who decide to safeguard the twins by taking them to a non-magical dimension—Earth—to be raised away from Coventry’s threats.
