In the shadows of the underworld, Laughing once worked for the triad leader Brother One, Lai Tin-yat, a figure who treats him almost like an elder brother. To strengthen his criminal empire and protect its operations, [Brother One] arranges for Laughing to join the Police Force and become a mole, feeding him into the police ranks to gather intelligence on the plans and counter-plans as they unfold. This arrangement creates a web of loyalty and risk, where every secret Laughing uncovers could betray someone he’s still connected to.
