Washed-out film director Tin Lik Hang is navigating a cascade of crises in life: his mother has recently died, his film company is bankrupt and weighed down by debt, and his wife is seeking a divorce. He is suddenly tasked with caring for his 79-year-old father, Tin Yat Hung, who is living with dementia. In the midst of Lik Hang’s misery, Yat Hung begins shedding a layer of skin every day, a uncanny transformation that slowly ages him in reverse—from 60 to 52 to 37 to 28 to 19. With each shedding, the pair are drawn closer, and they reconnect at a football stadium they used to visit on weekends, a place charged with shared memory and quiet reconciliation.

These dramatic changes cast a strange spell over their relationship. Yat Hung’s rejuvenation seems to bend time in Lik Hang’s world: he even helps scare away debt collectors pressing on his son, and he irresistibly charms both Lik Hang’s wife and his mistress, stirring a mix of relief and confusion in Lik Hang’s personal life.
