Eddie, known as Trojan Eddie, fences stolen goods for John Power, the aging godfather of a local Irish traveler network. After serving prison time rather than betray his partner in a botched burglary, Eddie now raises his two daughters alone. Power courts and marries traveler Kathleen, but she elopes with his nephew Dermot, absconding with an $11,000 dowry. Eddie is forced to chase the runaway couple.
