Too Shy to Try 1978
Pierre, a shy hotel cashier in Vichy, answers a Psychology Institute ad and is drawn into salesman Aldo’s schemes, spending 6,000 francs on tapes, books and a punching bag. He falls for glamorous guest Agnes and chases her from Nice to Deauville. Aldo trains his confidence; they sell Aldo’s car, letting Pierre pose as a polo‑playing jet‑setter while working as a dishwasher to win Agnes.
