
Set in 1947 Paris, the film follows Antoine, a print‑shop worker, and Antoinette, a shop assistant, whose routines feel monotonous. Their lives change when Antoine finds a winning lottery ticket in Antoinette’s handbag and plans to cash it, only to lose his wallet.
