What Is The Nixie About?
The premise of The Nixie without spoilers.
Inspired by a Polish legend and poem by Adam Mickiewicz, this dark folk tale follows a water nymph who appears as a woman to seduce a young man in the forest. He pledges his love, but she transforms back into a nymph to test his devotion. Unaware they are the same, he breaks his vow, prompting the nymph to exact a vengeful punishment: swallowing him into the lake, where he remains eternally. The film blends reality with fantasy, creating a modern, seductive cinematic poem with a new wave soundtrack.
