In Chiang Mai, a young computer programmer named Dew Anne Thongprasom crosses paths with Ton Atthaporn Teemakorn during her distant cousin’s funeral, and an immediate connection sparks a romance that blossoms despite the miles between them, carried forward by long phone conversations and shared memories.
Back in Bangkok on Valentine’s Day, Dew declines joining her best friend Ked on a blind date because she is eagerly awaiting Ton’s call, a choice that sets off a chain of consequences. The heartbreak deepens when Ked is murdered by the supposed blind date, a tragedy that shocks Dew and anchors the story in themes of loss and resilience. She travels north to Chiang Mai to seek comfort in Ton, and the couple’s relationship grows into something serious, culminating in a swift, sincere marriage.
Yet happiness is abruptly interrupted when Ton dies of a brain tumor, leaving Dew to navigate life without the man she loves. Before she returns to Bangkok, she encounters a mysterious letter that appears to be from her deceased husband. It is soon revealed that Ton had written a series of letters before his death and arranged for them to be delivered after he is gone to his widow. These letters become a steady beacon through her grief, offering comfort, reminders of their time together, and a sense that his presence lingers in small, everyday moments.
The letters help Dew move toward healing, and she ultimately continues to live in Chiang Mai with their son, who was born after his father’s death. The story closes on a note of quiet endurance, showing how love can endure across distance and time, and how memory—expressed in heartfelt correspondence—can keep a beloved partner close even when he is no longer alive.
