What Is The Flea About?

‘The Flea’ follows twelve‑year‑old Ilias, who handwrites, edits and publishes a tiny village newspaper in the remote mountains near ancient Olympia. Mocked and nicknamed “The Flea” by elders, his parents forbid the project, fearing it harms his studies. His only supporters are an eccentric dreamer and a sensitive schoolgirl. When an Athenian journalist visits, villagers suddenly praise Ilias, but he soon suspects their enthusiasm is driven by tourism hopes and doubts the reporter’s motives.
