The Eliminator 2004

Former LAPD cop, Dakota Varley, Bas Rutten, enters a power boat race seeking the prize of $250,000, but immediately discovers that the risk is as brutal as the reward: one racer is killed, and three others are seriously injured in crashes and explosions. Varley attempts to withdraw from the lake and claim his prize money, but he is drugged and kidnapped by Dawson, Michael Rooker, and thrust into a hidden, harsher reality where survival is the sole rule and there are no customary laws to follow.

Varley awakens on an island, strapped to a pole like a pig being carried to a barbecue, and finds himself surrounded by heavily armed men. He soon learns that he and six other victims have been assembled to participate in the ultimate survival game: every night they will be hunted by skilled shooters until only one person remains, and that survivor will walk away with a staggering $10,000,000 in cash.

As the story unfolds, the other contestants are revealed: Jesse, Paul Logan, an undercover DEA agent in Venezuela; Santha, a military instructor for a group of revolutionaries in Sierra Leone; and Darius, Jamal Duff, a sociopathic murderer who has been court-martialed and allegedly imprisoned by the U.S. Army for slaughtering 40 innocents in Kosovo. In addition, it becomes clear that each contestant has been brought to the game by a different “Player”—wealthy men and women who have privately selected a target to sponsor. Among these powerful figures are Carlos Alvarez, a Venezuelan drug lord; a U.S. Army General Ellison; and Ochiro Sumani, a Japanese gang boss. With this web of manipulation, the contestants must not only fend off the nightly hunters but also watch out for betrayals among themselves, all while the looming question remains: who will survive long enough to claim the colossal prize?

The layers of motive deepen as the contestants learn that they did not enter this game by accident; the Players’ desires drive the brutality, turning the island into a controlled arena where danger comes from every direction. In this dangerous, morally murky landscape, alliances form and fracture, strategies shift under pressure, and the line between hunter and hunted blurs. The atmosphere stays tense and relentless as each night brings a fresh wave of peril, leaving the survivors to weigh the value of humanity against the lure of life-changing wealth.
