Shot on medieval sites, this US‑Spanish co‑production (also titled *Valley of the Swords*) follows a 10th‑century Spanish king (Broderick Crawford) who, allied with the Moors, bans nobleman Spartaco Santoni. With aid from the king’s daughter Teresa Velasquez, Santoni raises an army to fight the Moors, aided by patron saints Milan and Santiago. The cast includes Cesar Romero, Linda Darnell, Alida Valli and Fernando Rey, typical of mid‑1960s tax‑shelter productions.
