What Is The Breaks About?
The premise of The Breaks without spoilers.
In the summer of 1990 New York City, three friends embark on a journey to make their mark in the hip-hop music industry. Nikki, a recent graduate, turns down a law school scholarship to pursue her dream of becoming a record executive. She teams up with David, the son of a legendary producer, who's facing challenges at a leading R&B station. Dee Vee, an ambitious producer, searches for the next rising rap artist, hoping to discover the next big star.
