The Yolks on You 1980

Miss Prissy Nancy Wible is late for Foghorn Leghorn’s egg-checking deadline, and the rooster, Foghorn Leghorn, voiced by Mel Blanc, makes his disappointment clear. He warns that if she cannot produce a normal egg, she will be sent to the old hens farm. He sets a curious goal for her, insisting she should aim for turquoise Easter eggs and reminding her to think about the perfect egg shape.

Prissy tries, but she lays a golden egg instead. She rolls the golden egg away, and soon two rivals spot it. The two attempt to seize it for themselves, pulling off a series of playful schemes that even nod to a long-running, exaggerated tickle routine. One urges the other to grab the egg for a final chance, but their plan backfires when the disguised golden egg is mistakenly placed among Miss Prissy’s own eggs on the farm.

They watch as an egg truck arrives and carries away the entire batch. In a chaotic finale, the two birds end up breaking all the eggs over a gigantic skillet, with one warning the other that if they don’t locate the egg, the biggest omelette in history will be served.

This episode marks Foghorn Leghorn’s first appearance since the Bugs Bunny cartoon False Hare (1964), sixteen years earlier. The cartoon currently airs on the Boomerang channel.
