On arrival in Paris, Paco, Rodolfo De Souza, is arrested, while his mistress Laura Maruschka Detmers joins his accomplices. They all belong to a terrorist and anarchist splinter group, Ravachol-Kropotkin, led by Paco. Meanwhile, Louie (Loulou) Dupin, Coluche, learns that his grandmother is dead and that he is the sole heir of her Paris apartment. He also heads to Paris.

Upon his arrival, he is surprised to find two young women in his apartment: Valérie Dominique Frot and Laura Maruschka Detmers. Although he initially intends to send them away, Laura charms him and changes his mind. She and her partners (including Valérie and her explosives expert boyfriend) intend to keep the homes, which double as hideouts for weapons and ammunition and as strategic points for their next attack. The seduction of Loulou isn’t difficult; his accomplices are also plotting to have him killed, a plan that proves harder to pull off than expected. As he begins to search the rooms for gold from his grandmother’s hoard, Laura is used to distract him. Yet the treasure is found quickly, allowing the conspirators to focus on their larger objective.

The conspirators kidnap Alix Lefebure, the son of a prominent banker and industrialist, to exchange him for Paco. The evening of the exchange, Loulou and Laura spend the night at a hotel. Laura leaves him a small explosive gift before rejoining the others. One of Loulou’s friends, Alvaro Luis Rego, saves him by delivering the package to a meeting of emirs. Returning home, Louie finds the apartment empty, with only a few weapons left behind. He realizes he’s been tricked when he sees Laura, Paco, and the rest of the gang on TV, fleeing by plane.

After discovering fake passports behind a mirror, he heads to Mexico, where Laura claimed she had met Paco. The monkey and its owner are now wanted for the hotel bombing, and join him on the journey. Loulou, accused of abducting Lefebure, intends to seize Laura, much to Alvaro’s annoyance. After a long discussion, Loulou decides to return to France. They encounter one of the terrorists, and trail him to a new hideout. Loulou helps load a mysterious box into a truck bound for the Yucatán. Back at the hideout, he learns that Valérie’s boyfriend has died. He is arrested shortly thereafter.

In cooperation with the French police, who suspect them of being Paco’s accomplices, the Mexican police stage the escape of Loulou and Alvaro with the help of guerrillas. They hope this will lead them to Paco. Loulou and Alvaro slip away and are traced to Cancun during the real-life North–South Summit on the Third World. They witness terrorists lifting an extra pillar to the Aztec pyramid near the summit site. While examining the strange addition, they are captured by Paco and Laura. Taken in a Jeep driven by Valérie, they manage to escape thanks to Alvaro’s monkey. They then neutralize other terrorists and reveal to Valérie the death of her boyfriend, killed on Paco’s orders. The leader finally helps Loulou and Alvaro remove the pillar by helicopter. The pillar conceals a nuclear missile, which falls into the sea and explodes. Laura, who has come along with Loulou, is finally won over by him, and the two await a child.
