In 1832, 22‑year‑old Raphaël, ruined by gambling, stands on the banks of the Seine ready to end his life. A mysterious shopkeeper intervenes, offering a cursed object called the “skin of sorrow.” It promises to grant any wish, but each wish hastens the loss of the remaining time he has on earth.
