June Abbott, portrayed by Camilla Luddington, is a dedicated crime scene cleaner thrust into a harrowing situation when she is assigned to clean the apartment of Ellie Ford, a victim of a serial killer known for mimicking the notorious “Judas Killer.” Amidst the chaos of her job, June’s personal life complicates further when her boyfriend, Officer Daniel Meyer, played by Scott Michael Foster, presents her with a ring, signifying an engagement that weighs heavily against the backdrop of her troubling family dynamics.

June’s relationship with her mother, Maggie—depicted by Amy Pietz—is strained due to Maggie’s struggles with alcoholism and smoking, a situation compounded by Daniel’s resentment towards Maggie for what he perceives as her overbearing negativity on June’s life. During this turbulent time, June finds herself being interrogated by the instigative FBI agent, Terrence Ballard, portrayed by Patrick Fischler, who drops a bombshell revelation: June’s biological mother is Jennifer Glick, the first victim of the Judas Killer, who is also Maggie’s sister.

Not only does Ballard hand over Jennifer’s personal belongings, which prominently includes a Bible filled with disturbing photos of Jennifer, the Judas Killer, and his sister, but he also adds to the emotional weight on June’s shoulders. Following a heated confrontation with Maggie—who staunchly refuses to divulge any of her past—June becomes haunted by ominous visions of Judas that foreshadow impending tragedy, and when she rushes to her mother’s home, she is confronted with the dreadful reality of Maggie’s lifeless body.

As suspicion mounts around June, especially after her volatile exchange with her mother, she resorts to sneaking back to Maggie’s house, where she discovers a torn Bible page featuring a striking quote about Judas Iscariot. With the intent to uncover the truth, June reaches out to Annie Barlow, played by Caity Lotz, the niece of the original killer, in hopes of finding clarity. With Annie’s psychic friend, Stevie, portrayed by Haley Hudson, unwilling to assist, the pair initially decides to cease their investigation. However, Annie’s realization that June’s father may have been her uncle alters the course of their search.

What follows is a chilling séance conducted by June and Annie, during which they attempt to conjure the spirits of Ellie and Maggie—who cryptically hint at a hidden place known as the “Pink Room.” Encouraged by the whisperings of the spirits, Annie ventures on her own to Ellie’s former workplace and captures crucial photographs, but meets with a tragic fate as she is fatally injured, transmitting the haunting images to June prior to her passing.

Determined to piece together the unsettling puzzle, June discovers the truth behind the “Pink Room” and its connections to Ellie’s life as a model. As she retraces her steps home, she encounters Ballard culminating in a confrontation that reveals secrets yet untold. Soon after, a shocking call from Daniel shatters her world when he unveils his identity as the copycat killer, further tying her life to that of the Judas Killer.

As the tension reaches a fever pitch, June and Daniel engage in a desperate battle of wits, revealing his unsettling delusions inspired by the original murderer. The chase intensifies when Daniel, in a moment of vulnerability, reveals his intentions of leading June to continue the twisted legacy of the Judas Killer, thrusting her into a life-or-death struggle. Just when it seems that Daniel’s malevolence will prevail, June manages to defend herself, resulting in a final confrontation that sees the chaos unfold.

Although Ballard is ultimately taken to the hospital, June finds herself liberated from suspicion, a temporary solace in her turbulent existence. However, as the camera flits to the reflection in front of her, a chilling revelation looms: a message from Annie warns that the cycle of horror is poised to begin anew, with a sinister presence emerging right behind her, forever linking June to the terrifying legacy that haunts her past.
