What Is The Mozart of Pickpockets About?

Richard and Philippe scrape by supporting a Spanish pickpocket gang in Paris, posing as police to seize a member while the others lift pockets and purses from onlookers. After the gang is arrested, only the two remain, and Richard takes in a deaf‑mute immigrant boy left behind. Philippe tries a three‑person pickpocket routine with the boy, but it fails disastrously, leaving them at rock bottom. At the cinema, the boy devises a plan that offers a chance for redemption and celebration.
