The Married Woman of Nam Xuong (1989): Cast

The film follows a mother coping with her husband’s absence after he departs for war. To comfort her child, she fabricates a nightly illusion, projecting a shadow on a sheet and telling the boy it is his father. Two years later the husband returns, but the child, conditioned to see his father only in the dark, rejects him, insisting his father only comes at night.
