The premise of The Man Who Mends Women: The Wrath of Hippocrates without spoilers.
Internationally recognized as “the man who mends women,” Doctor Mukwege dedicates his life to treating thousands of women who have suffered rape during two decades of conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Despite the country's vast natural resources, it remains one of the poorest nations. His tireless fight against these atrocities and the impunity of those responsible has made him a target, and he survived an assassination attempt in 2012. Now living under the protection of UN peacekeepers in Bukavu, he is supported by the women he has helped, who are now advocates for peace and justice.
