The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time (2018): Cast & Ratings

In terms of art and craft, the film’s direction and visual execution are uneven. Critics note the overwhelming set pieces and cheap special effects, describing the imagery as a loosely cobbled collection. A few reviewers praise the occasional coherent action and commendable choreography. The inconsistent cinematography and editing reduce overall polish, resulting in a modest artistic score.

Regarding character and emotion, the ensemble receives modest approval. Critics acknowledge that the main characters register and become endearing, providing a rare emotional anchor in the series. User remarks echo this sentiment, enjoying the characters’ quirks despite overall flaws. However, limited depth and uneven performances prevent a stronger impact, yielding a middling character score.

In the story domain, narrative coherence is the weakest link. Critics describe the plot as a thin framework of airborne sharks, with jokes and gags that feel stale and devoid of genuine progression. User feedback similarly notes the film’s decline compared to earlier installments. The lack of originality and meandering pacing lead to a low story rating.

Assessing sensory experience reveals subpar execution. Critics repeatedly criticize cheap visual effects, noisy sound design, and an overall lack of stylistic cohesion. Some viewers note occasional enjoyment of the over‑the‑top set pieces, but these moments do not outweigh the pervasive technical shortcomings. Consequently, the sensory score remains modest.

The rewatch factor shows modest appeal due to the franchise’s cult status. Critics acknowledge a semblance of guilty pleasure, while a few reviewers celebrate the series‑ending closure as a redeeming element. User comments range from enthusiastic repeat viewings to acknowledgment of lingering enjoyment despite flaws, resulting in a moderate rewatch rating.
