The Great Chess Movie (1982): Cast

In Gilles Carle’s documentary the international chess match is staged like a Western showdown. It follows three legends—Russia’s Anatoly Karpov, defector Viktor Korchnoi, and American Bobby Fischer—while commentators Camille Coudari and Fernando Arrabal dissect their personalities, strategies and the political currents around the game.
