What Is The Family Secret About?
The premise of The Family Secret without spoilers.
A wealthy father disapproves of his daughter's secret marriage to a poorer man. He exiles her, hoping she'll forget him, unaware they are already wed. While apart she bears a child. Upon returning with her infant daughter, the father erupts, falsely accusing the son‑in‑law of theft and imprisoning him to force his daughter to abandon the marriage.
