Old Mr. Johnson is an elderly man who becomes determined to rid his home of a small but stubborn yellow cat that won’t leave. What unfolds is a sequence of escalating, darkly comic attempts that test his patience and reveal the cat’s uncanny resilience.

• Third attempt — hot air balloon: He concocts a scheme to banish the cat by sending it away in a hot air balloon. The plan backfires when he cuts the tether, and the winds snatch him up as well, pulling him into a surreal, sky-high entanglement.

• Fourth attempt — the pump trolley: For the next move, he uses a pump trolley to transplant the problem elsewhere. The chase threads through chaos as he crosses paths with damsels in distress and even a cow tied to the tracks, culminating when a small bug crossing the rails sends the trolley off course and crashing into danger.
