Jiaming, a teenager who hasn't prioritized school, is forced to re-evaluate his path after failing his O level exams and dropping out. He temporarily helps out at his parents’ music pub, Meng Chuan. His friends, Caogen, Haoban, and Xiaopang, initially advance to Junior College but face suspension after a mishap with pornographic magazines. During their month-long suspension, the friends enter a local music competition, experience first love, and work to revitalize the struggling pub, ultimately realizing the challenges of adulthood and the difficulty of following one's heart amidst societal pressures.

Secondary school student Jiaming Daren Tan is balancing his O-levels with his parents’ bar duties, while his friends Cao Gen Seah Jiaqing, Hao Ban Kenny Khoo, and Xiao Pang Kelvin Mun juggle schoolwork and their own schemes. A reckless dare to obtain the numbers of two nearby girls—Jayley Jayley Woo and Hayley Hayley Woo—sparks a chance encounter that ends with Jiaming bumping into May Julie Tan and dropping his Xinyao booklet.
